Vader, formerly known as T-Bone, came into the shelter as a stray, and no one came to claim him. The shelter staff observed that he was limping, and after consulting with the shelter medical staff, reached out to TEAM for a specialty consult. During the consult, it was determined that Vader had a torn cranial cruciate ligament (CCL). The CCL is the doggy version of the human anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). To repair this tear, Vader would have to undergo a Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO) at the Sacramento Veterinary Referral Center. Thankfully, an amazing foster stepped up to care for Vader while he was recovering, and then decided they couldn’t let him go and adopted him!
